Tour Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is one of the world’s most renowned botanical gardens, spanning over 300 acres and home to more than 50,000 plant species. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kew offers sweeping landscapes, historic glasshouses, and tranquil walking paths that have inspired artists, scientists, and writers alike for centuries. Virginia Woolf famously wrote a short story titled Kew Gardens (1919), which captures the quiet dramas and inner monologues of passersby wandering the gardens on a summer day. Beyond Woolf, Kew has also featured in the poetry of William Blake and has been referenced in works by E.M. Forster and others.

Hatchards Booksellers
Founded in 1797, Hatchards is London’s oldest bookshop and a cherished literary landmark. Its elegant rooms, lined with books old and new, offer a timeless retreat for readers in the heart of the city.
An afternoon with Cath Kidston at C. Atherley
Cath Kidston, OBE, is one of the most influential figures in British design. In 1993, she opened her first shop in London’s Holland Park, creating a brand that became a global sensation. Her designs—florals, polka dots, and other nostalgic motifs—captured the British imagination and turned her brand into a household name.

In recognition of her contributions, Cath was awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE). Beyond her design work, Cath is also a published author. Her books include “In Print,” “Coming Up Roses,” and “A Place Called Home.” After stepping away from her eponymous brand, she opened C. Atherley, a new shop offering fragrances inspired by her geranium garden. Our group will enjoy an afternoon at her shop in addition to a Q&A with Cath herself!

Rebeka will serve morning coffee and cakes in her kitchen, and if the weather holds, the garden is full of nooks and crannies where we’ll enjoy a bookish chat and a cup of tea too. Daunt Books
Daunt Books in Marylebone is a well-known London bookshop, housed in a historic Edwardian building with oak galleries and skylights. The shop is especially known for organizing its books by country rather than genre. Each section features travel guides, fiction, history, and memoirs related to that specific place. Hello, kindred spirit!

About your host
hayley solano, founder & host
of the enchanted book club
I’ll never forget the first time I walked into Jane Austen’s home. It was as if the stories I’ve always loved leaped off the pages before my eyes. To see Jane’s tiny desk, to thumb through the pages of Pride & Prejudice with a view of her garden, to step inside her bedroom, it was undeniably enchanting. I knew I wanted to give that experience to as many readers as I could.
What makes literary travel even more special is experiencing it amongst kindred spirits. Some of my most cherished memories have been made on Enchanted Book Club tours as women from all over the world come together to celebrate our favorite novels where they were written. I would absolutely love to meet you in England!
