meet your book club host, Hayley Solano
When I was 5 years old, my mother gifted me a book that I’ll never forget. It was called The Kingfisher Book of Great Girl Stories: A Treasury of Classics from Children’s Literature and introduced me to the literary heroines that would inspire me for the rest of my life. Amongst the pages of that book I “met” Anne Shirley, Mary Lennox, Heidi, Matilda, and Jo March for the first time. Since then, I’ve continued to seek inspiration from heroines, reveling in their strength and grace.
Inspired to contribute to the legacy of these literary heroines and their authors, I launched The Enchanted Book Club in 2021—a place where women can reconnect with, or perhaps discover for the first time, the magic these stories bring into our lives.
