REBECCA ROMNEY

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH
@ 4:30PM PST/7:30PM EST

Meet rare books specialist Rebecca Romney as we celebrate her new book, Jane Austen’s Bookshelf. In this fascinating conversation, Rebecca will uncover the forgotten women writers who profoundly influenced Jane Austen. Austen was deeply inspired by women writers, from Frances Burney to Maria Edgeworth, whose works shaped her own novels and her view of the world. Yet, these authors have been erased from the literary canon. Rebecca will share her journey of rediscovering their books, finding rare editions, and exploring the connections between their stories and Austen’s.
