A Susan Branch Surprise Meet & Greet!

It is always a treat when Susan Branch visits The Enchanted Book Club, but this time was particularly special. While planning the discussion on our February selection, A Fine Romance: Falling in Love with the English Countryside, I thought to myself, “Wait…what if Susan joined us?!” I quickly emailed Susan with my idea and we coordinated a special surprise for the book club!

The book club members thought we were on Zoom to have a discussion on A Fine Romance amongst each other, but little did they know they would have the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with Susan herself! How heartwarming it was to witness these wonderful exchanges between Susan and so many of the kindred spirits she has inspired ❤️

The Enchanted Book Club is a community of kindred spirits who celebrate the beauty of storytelling (particularly the classics, like Jane Austen’s novels!). We delight in online events with exciting guests every month. It’s a literary experience filled with joy and inspiration. We would love for you to join us! Click here to join The Enchanted Book Club.
Thank you Susan, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving us a beloved memory!
With Love,
Hayley

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this delightful zoom🥰I have had the pleasure of going to England and Hilltop all because of Susan. Enchanted is an understatement ❤️🥰

  2. Hayley, even tho I am not a member of your book club, you have me on your email address list from another time when Susan was on. So, I got to watch your latest video. What FUN…..I love when Susan talks about different things that she may not have shored in her books or her website. I have even sent it to my Dutch penpal, whom I met via Susan. She too loves all things Susan B. and has been to a couple of the picnics..
    Thank you so much,
    Rachel

  3. Susan Branch makes life come alive by making each page of her travels visually draw you in to the world she is seeing. She invites us to pause and notice the details, little treasures in nature and in life, we might miss were we not using Susan-vision. Your heart starts to sing, and your mind starts to whistle, as you sail the ocean under a moonlit sky and meander through the English countryside, breathing in Anglophilia’s fragrance unawares. All this she does in A Fine Romance until you reach the last page and set a date to begin the book again because you do not want the delightfully whimsical travel to end.
