Do you have a favorite book to film adaptation? One of the things I love most about book to film adaptations is that they often celebrate the story in a new and imaginative way. How magical that storytellers from many years ago continue to inspire storytellers of today. Some of our favorite stories may not exist had their authors not been inspired by the ones that came before them!
If you enjoy movies and TV shows based on books and/or period dramas, you will love browsing through Acorn TV’s streaming library. They have everything from Anna Karenina and War and Peace to Agatha Christie’s works and The Scarlet Pimpernel! Let’s take a closer look at their library below…

Sometimes I enjoy film adaptations of books more than the book because you can see things from someone else’s perspective or in a way you never imagined. It’s like mass book club-here’s someone’s thoughts on the work. I thought that while watching and reading “Brooklyn” which I really enjoyed.
Lauren says
Honestly I’ve never been a huge movie fan but the one that’s always stuck with me was The Secret Garden.
I LOVED the book but the movie! As a child it introduced me to a world I hadn’t seen before and suddenly I found myself dreaming about my life if I was born in 1889, instead of 1989.
