I’m constantly in awe of the strength and creativity of classic female authors. Beatrix Potter is of course no exception! A writer, illustrator, natural scientist, conservationist, and true businesswoman, she continues to leave an indelible mark on the lives of children with her whimsical stories. If you’re interested in touring Beatrix Potter’s home, The Enchanted Book Club is taking a trip to the Lake District in September 2025. We’re an online book club that celebrates women authors and preserves their stories through inspiring interviews, lively discussions amongst members, and making special donations. I’m completely in love with this new Jane Austen set by @juniperbooks (linked in my bio)! As I plan The Enchanted Book Club’s next England trip, I long to return to Jane Austen’s home and read in her beautiful garden! It includes a wide range of flowers known in Jane Austen’s time and wildflowers common to Hampshire.
